ECONOMIC JUSTIFICATION AND OPTIMIZATION OF STRATEGIES ENSURING SAFETY IN EMERGENCIES WITH RADIATION LEAKS

Abstract

The methods of estimation of dose boundaries of economically expedient use of interventions in emergencies with radiation leaks and optimal residual radiation doses by criterion of minimum of intervention costs are considered. The solutions of these problems for such interventions as territory deactivation and temporary resettlement of residents are obtained. The validity of their application in the elimination of the consequences of the disaster at Fukushima-1 Nuclear Power Plant is evaluated.
