DEVELOPING SKILLS OF NOTIONAL READING: INTERNATIONAL AND RUSSIAN EXPERIENCE (in teaching foreign languages)

Abstract
The article covers aspects of developingskills of notional reading of school students while teaching foreign languages,international and Russian experience isbriefly analyzed. We discuss the problemsof teaching strategies of notional reading,specific approaches to teaching screenedreading, developing skills of critical thinking in reading.
